The past week here in Brisbane, has been one we all will never forget. Going down to Rosalie when it was basically underwater was something I never thought I would ever see. Knowing that for years Rosalie has been a part of my everyday life, from driving through to get to Toowong or getting takeaway fish and chips for dinner made me understand quite quickly how serious this natural disaster really was.
My thoughts are with everyone who has lost their homes and loved ones during this time of devastation. Though, it brings such a smile to my face when I think about how far we have all come together in so little time!
The almost unbelievable support I have seen from everyone down at Rosalie was incredible, not only were the people of the effected suburbs there helping but the people from all over Brisbane were there to lend a helping hand which was just amazing. There where people everywhere helping everyone, working together as a team!
And thanks to everyone’s help, Rosalie has now been transformed from a river to the normal Rosalie again! Everyone has been so amazing, and just shows how much everyone cares.
