I celebrated 14 years in brisbane last week, or more specifically in Paddington. I moved from Tasmania (chasing the sunshine) in my late teens and luckily stumbled into Paddo’s arms and have never left.
I love this urban village just 2 km from the CBD and I am proud to have witnessed the suburb come to life over the past 14 years. From the meandering shopping strip running through it’s centre – where cottages have been turned into store fronts and house vintage and designer fashions, homewares and gifts to the mecca of bars restaurants, cafes. But most of all I love the steep streets, views, green leafy pockets, the houses - quaint cottages and cool queenslanders.
I help people buy and sell homes in Paddington everyday and I completely undertand when they say to me they only want to live in Paddington. I see first home buyers frantically trying to save up the fairly hefty entry level price to buy a property in Paddington and I appreciate their motivation. I see families devestated to be leaving the community, schools, their neighbours and I get it……..’cause I love Paddington too!

I would love to live in Paddington, but unfortunately I can only afford to rent here at the moment…
