Houses, Gardens and Backyards – home sweet home
“Paddington was a lot of 16 perch (405m2 approx.) and even one or two twelve perch ones. Getting a bit further out they were getting a bit wider and not so deep. Paddington was narrow, but deep in their allotments – I think mainly on account of the steepness of the hills.” Rob Foreman
“In those days the houses were well built. They were pretty well all good tradesmen, well let’s say they did their job and the houses lasted didn’t they? Well there’s proof of that around Paddington now where they are restoring them.” Iris Mailor
