Aah yes, the silly season is here once again and with everyone running around, shopping until 2am and stocking up on enough food and goodies to feed an army, why would any sensible person think about putting their home on the market for sale?
True, there are not as many buyers out and about looking at property, but you can be sure those that are looking are very very genuine. Not only that, but there are also fewer properties in competition with yours. Nobody is going to spend hot summer days slogging from one property to the next unless they are really ‘hot’ buyers – and I don’t mean from the weather! Serious buyers and limited stock – the ideal combination for the seller.
Summer time, brings the ex-pats home – often cashed up and ready to buy; it brings holiday makers back to our fine city, many of whom will have been here before, and are ready to look seriously at that property for investment, or to make the long talked about move to sunny Queensland a reality!
Perhaps Christmas isn’t such a silly season at all!
