When buying houses for sale, it is often forgotten by buyers to ask the agent about inclusions. Often we have seen a buyer fall in love with the home and maybe just those few little things that seem to be ‘part of the house’.
Items such as curtains, island benches on wheels, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, pool equipment, feature light fittings and even mirrors may or may not be included within the sale price. The REIQ defines inclusions as “Fixtures are defined as “anything on the property that is ‘screwed in’, ‘glued in’, ‘nailed in’, and ‘bolted in’ or ‘plumbed in’ to the structures on the property.”
My advice to you: ALWAYS check with the agent exactly what is included in the sale price, and always ensure that you clarify and never assume.
