Sometimes it can be a stressful and frustrating experience finding a rental property. After trawling through all that is available, you find one that is perfect! Only to find that it is ‘Under Application’ or ‘Leased’ already. The old saying ‘the early bird gets the worm’ has never been more applicable however it is also the ‘well prepared bird’ who also gets ‘the worm’!

Here at SPACE Property, we want to make applying for a rental property as simple as possible and so have prepared an easy 5 step process so your application can be streamlined and you can be in your new home quickly.

  1. Fully completed and signed application forms for each tenant who is to live at the property
  2. Photo ID (18+ card, drivers licence or passport)
  3. Proof of income, either 2 x recent pay slips or a Centrelink statement
  4. Previous rental reference from an agency (with contact numbers) or if you have not rented from an agency, a reference from a previous landlord with copies of receipts and/or proof of regular rent payments
  5. If you have never rented before and are a current home owner, we will require a copy of a recent council rates and utility notices
