When discussing the various elements of marketing with potential sellers the question is sometimes asked,
‘Do we need photography? We have photos of the property already and they can be used’, or ‘Could we save money on the photography by you taking the photos?’.
Of course there is only one answer. Professional photography is the backbone of every successful marketing campaign and thus needs to be of a high quality. Photography isn’t just about a few shots of the property, it is about the skill of the photographer to ensure the spaces are captured and the lifestyle is portrayed.
Images are the first window to the property; they need to whet your appetite for more. You must ensure, however, that the photos entice but don’t tell all – ensure the property still holds some element of surprise on viewing.
Next time you are looking for a property, take note of what effect the photos have on you.
